Kid's Vacation

So, last week I took the kids on vacation. I say it was the kid's vacation because it was not relaxing, but entertaining. I like to relax on my vacation. Dennis had to work so it was me and 5 kids! Yes, 5! Christopher wanted to bring a couple of friends so it was three 16 year old boys and my two little ones. We drove to California. We stayed in Nevada on the way there. The kids had fun swimming and doing the hotel thing. We arrived at my best friend's house and we went swimming and hung out all day and slept over. The next day we went to the beach all day with my brother. The next day was Knott's. We then met up with my other best friend and watched her son's baseball game. We went to the park the next day and went out to dinner with my dad, grandma, and uncle. I miss my grandma and it was so good to see her. The next day was girl's game night with both of my best friends. It was so fun. The kids went to an Angel game that night. The next day was Disneyland followed by Sea World the next day with Jamie and her kids. The next morning we took on the challenge of driving straight through home. We made it, but I guess I wore myself out because I have been so sick since I got back. The kids had fun so that's what it's all about.
We went to Sea World With my best friend and her kids. We had a great time and plan on going back this summer.

We had a wonderful time at Disneyland! My mom and I took the little kids and my nephew. It was so fun to spend time with them. The kids just love their cousin. We were able to ride every ride you could imagine and some even twice. I think they liked Indiana Jone's and the fast roller coaster rides the best. They all really liked the parade.

We had so much fun at Knott's Berry Farm. I thought the little kids would stay in Camp Snoopy, but I was wrong. Those two wanted to go on every roller coaster they were tall enough for. They went on Ghost Rider 3 times and Boomarang 2 times. They went all day roller coaster after roller coaster. The big kids went off on their own and we never saw them. Joseph won two arcade games and gave Emily one of his prizes. It was a great day!!

We got to go to our awesome friend, Charles' baseball game. Joseph and Maryn play so cute together.
It was such a beautiful day at the beach. The best part was getting to spend time with my brother.

This is the sand castle I made. It is a polygamist compound.

Joseph burried Emily

Joseph and Emily love the ocean. They were "body surfing" according to Emily. I think it was more like "get hit by a wave and struggle back up to the surface", but I'm not gonna rain on their parade.
They couldn't get enough of the water

This is their victory cheer! Notice Emily's cheer is "Rock On!"

Emily LOVES HannaMontana! She dressed up like her and I took her to Down Town Disney to see the concert movie. We were the only ones in the theatre. It was so much fun. She danced and did cartwheels all over the theatre. It was a super fun mommy-daughter experience!

Christopher and Logan (My best friend's baby. Isn't he so cute!!!!)

I also love the compound. That made me giggle forever. And the boys are gorgeous.

Next time you go on a kid vacation you'll definitely need a second chaperone.... you can totally invite me!
