35 Today

So, today was my 35th birthday. Wow, I am getting way old! I had such a lovely day. I got an e-card from a dear friend in Bakersfield, Ca. I was visited by quite a few wonderful friends and neighbors bearing yummy baked goods, cards and gifts. I also recieved a few cheerful phone calls! I am truly blessed and surrounded by loving friends and family! Dennis and the kids made me dinner and we all played games. What a nice day! Dennis got me these beautiful roses.
My awesome big kids got me a couple Webkinz and this super cool card. I have never seen a card like this before. You crank the little "turn me" handle and the little characters dance and sing. It is the coolest card I have ever seen or recieved!

My friend, Alesha, came over today for a little visit. She has the kindest, sweetest, most loving spirit ever! I just love her and talking to her always brightens up my day. She came by with her new little adorable girl, Riley! She also has the funnest boys that I love to play with. Emily asked if we could keep "it". I wish!! Anyone who ever needs a loving, but crazy home for a baby just let me know!!

Super Fun Trip Preview

On Friday my super great friend came for a short 1 day visit on her way to Idaho. On the way home next week she is picking me up and we are going home with her for a way fun girls road trip. Then we will fly home. It was her daughter, Maryn's birthday Thursday so we had an impromptu birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. We all had such a fun time! Maryn looked so cute. She wore her tutu and was a beautiful ballerina princess. When we got home the kids played on the water slide in the front yard. Later, Dennis took Joseph and Charles fishing. Jamie took me out to P.F. Changs for dinner. It was so yummy. We ended the evening by doing some karaeoke. It was hilarious! My older daughter, Christine came over with her friend and the four of us played games. Jamie left before I even woke up in the morning to get an early start on the road. I had such a wonderful time and can't wait until next week when we can spend more time together!! Maryn the beautiful birthday ballerina!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I was lucky enough to get these new couches for my living room for my birthday! I have needed couches for so long. Dennis and I saw these at a super good clearance and he let me get them for my birthday! Leather will be so much easier with my messy, crazy family, Yeah! I am so happy, but of course now the coffee tables look weird. Maybe, I can get those for another holiday!! Thank you Dennis! Sofa

Today we went bowling with my awesome friend Teri, her kids, Joseph and Emily, and a few others. We had such a fun time. Chloe (Teri's Daughter), was cheering so cute and loved the balls. Emily and Joseph both used bumpers. Emily also opted to use the ramp. She beat Joseph 135-80 and he was not too happy about that! It was fun to go out and do something we hadn't done in a while.

Pepper Spray Is Not An Air Freshener

Okay, so being married to a cop you get lots of dangerous toys, like guns, hand cuffs, bullets, knives, taser guns, etc. We have a safe and keep these things in it, but somehow or someone left the pepper spray out on the dresser. I heard choking, coughing and screaming coming from Emily. She had sprayed herself in the face with pepper spray. I started gagging and throwing up as I came to her aid. I got her in the shower and washed her down and had to flush her eye for a while. She seems fine now and went downstairs to sleep with the boys to escape the leftover smell in her room. I asked her what she was doing and she told me that she thought it was air freshener. I was scared, relieved and a little mad that it was left out. Dennis felt so bad. I guess there's even a child proof way to spray it, but she figured it out. Another crazy night here. I used to think my life was like a circus, but now I'm sure we are the freaky sideshow.

This is the newest member of our family, Jax! He is 6 weeks old and his birthday is shared with my super great friend, Jamie. He is a Golden Retriever like Annabelle. He is super sweet and way cute. Jax

Moab

Christopher had the great experience a couple weeks ago of going on an adventure of a lifetime. He went camping with the priests in Moab. He was introduced and was able to experience many wonderful things. They went hiking!
