Jazz Basketball Clinic

Joseph was the lucky winner of a contest at school. He won the opportunity to go to the Jazz practice center and participate in a basketball clinic. He had so much fun. He got to do dribbling and defensive drills.

He got to do shooting drills.

He even got a tour of the players locker room. They gave them a little ball as a souvenir. It was great to watch him as he learned some great skills!!

Science Fair & Blue and Gold

Because Joseph was so sick with pneumonia and the influenza virus (at the same time!!), his teacher gave him a little extra time to complete his science fair project. He had a great time doing his experiment because he LOVES to burn things. (Should I be scared!) His teacher told him that if he would have handed it in before the deadline he would be going to the district competition. So, I guess he (we) did a good job!!

Tonight was also the cub scout blue & gold dinner. Another cake decorating contest. The theme started out as national parks. We did Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska. I loved it when I went there. There were so many WAY better cakes, but I think we did okay.

Please Vote!!

Christopher's band has a chance to go to state finals as a wild card if he gets the most votes on theis website:

Baby Update

So, this is a picture of my baby from last week. They gave me the picture today. What a cute little blob. They decided NOT to put me in the hospital today. The medicine is working a little bit. They increased the dose and I go back in one week to see how it's working. So, I suppose for now it's a week to week decision on if I go in the hospital. At least I'm free for a week.

Special Visitor For Christopher

Tonight was regionals for "Battle of the Bands". Spunky Motors didn't win, but they should have. I think the judges were going for a different genre of music. We all wore our Spunky Motors t-shirts. Christopher's dad even came up from California to surprise Christopher for the show. Chris was so happy and excited!Chris and his friends at "Battle of the Bands"

Due Date

So, my due date is October 13th. I have a LONG way to go. I got to see the heartbeat today for the first time and that was awesome! My blood sugars however are another story. I had to stop one of my diabetic medications when I found out I was pregnant. Now my blood sugars have gone up a little (not good for the baby). My doctor started me on a medication that could help bring it down. I go back in three days to check. If it is still too high I will have to be hospitalized for about 4-5 days until he can get everything regulated with insulin. We'll see what happens.

So Excited!

So, I guess the old man still has it in him! I am PREGNANT!! I am so excited I can't stand it. I've wanted this for so long, but thought it would never happen. Dennis is freakin' out and in denial, but being very sweet about the baby. The little kids are so excited too. They talk to my stomach and refer to the baby every five minutes. Chris is just grossed out. Christine seems excited. I will find my exact due date out on Friday, but I think early October. If anyone has baby stuff they need to get rid of, I could use anything I could get. When this baby is born my youngest will be 10. CRAZY huh?? Chris and this baby will be the same age difference as Chris and I. I already adore this little baby and can't wait to meet the precious gift Heavenly Father has sent me. I am truly blessed!
