Crazy Girl, I Mean, Hat Day

Yesterday Emily was in one of her moods and had a horrible melt down. She had to spend the rest of the evening in her room. I was in the office next door to her room and was listening to her play Barbies. She kept asking all of them "Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?" Apparently none of them were confessing because the next thing you know she had them all taking lie detector tests. I then told her to go to sleep and she told me that it was "Old School" to go to bed. "No one goes to bed anymore, that's old school." In the morning, she told me that she didn't get much sleep last night. She was asleep when I went to bed so I was confused. Well, she woke up in the middle of the night and remembered the next day was "crazy hat day" at school. I was just going to have her wear one of her silly hats, but she was on a mission. She presented me with her creation that she stayed up all night making. It is made from a bowl, electrical tape, toilet paper, curlers, chip clips, a straw, ribbon, and scrunchies. This is her crazy hat! She is so cool!

I LOVE her!! As much as you might want to scream at her sometimes, I know that you get so much enjoyment from her! She is truly unique and very special. The world is a lot brighter because of her!
